Highland Derby Dolls

The Highland Derby Dolls is an all women's roller derby league based in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. The Highland Derby Dolls is the first and only roller derby league in Pictou County. Our league has been able to grow thanks to a desire to have an all female sport in our area that has a dose of strength, a dash of feminism and a whole lot of competitiveness….and let’s not forget those hard hits we toss into the mix!

Our mission is to bring roller derby to Pictou County and surrounding areas by prompting strength, athleticism, empowerment and sportsmanship among women, girls, and supporters. Driven by a passionate love for the sport the Highland Derby Dolls are a dedicated group and strive to improve training necessary for participating competitively with other leagues in the Maritimes and beyond. Highland Derby Dolls is a skater- owned and operated non-profit organization with a commitment to helping other organizations in the Pictou County area.

Established in 2012, the Highland Derby Dolls (HDD) is a full contact league that plays under the women's flat track derby association rule set and currently consists of one team: the Kickin' Vixens. Interested in rolling with us? Click here for more info!
